Broken Glass

For the broken glass motif, you will need the eponymous stencil plus pro-color paints ice blue, black and white. Also, you will need a fine brush for the details.

First, spray a few thick stripes onto your painting surface with highly diluted black. This will create a window pane. Then, place the "Broken Glass" stencil on it.

Spray over the whole stencil with a mixture of ice blue and a bit of white.

Then clean your airbrush and fill it with opaque pro-color white. For the clouds, start with spraying the contours' top edge with a tremble. Then create the rest of the clouds' insides starting on the edge and moving downward, also with a trembling movement.

Place the stencil element for the pieces of broken glass on the dried surface.

Spray the upper gradient inside the pieces of broken glass using white and the bottom gradient using diluted black.

Align the stencil element for the edges with the pieces of broken glass sprayed earlier and fill them with black.

Paint a few highlights on the edges of the broken glass using white and a fine brush in order to make them appear more realistic. Again with a fine brush and diluted black, you may expand the cracks a bit more in order to complete your piece of broken glass.
